BIG SPENCER

4 MILES RT / ASCENT 1866’ / END ELEVATION 3205’

Directions: Accessing the trailhead involves driving down logging roads that can be in terrible condition. Clearance and 4-wheel drive are a great idea. Starting in Greenville, travel north on the Lily Bay Road 19 miles to Kokadjo. Shortly after passing over the Roach River in Kokadjo, bear left onto the Sias Hill Road, and then travel north approximately 8 miles to Bear Pond Brook, where the Bear Brook/Spencer Mountain Road heads northeast approximately 6 miles to the Big Spencer Mountain trailhead (look for a large blue Public Lands sign next to the trailhead).
